Guest Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 There is a contribution for that, just search contribs. I forget what its called, but I used it. No complaints

rayge Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 THanks for the contrib link. I searched for somthing in there and didnt find anything so that will help. 99% of the time if i dont bump i end up reposting cause no one responds. So either i bump or end up double posting after a while? WHich is better?
jpweber Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Don't bump. That peeves a lot of people off and they won't even respond to you even though they may know a solution. If your question isn't answered in a couple days -- and 99% of the time, it will be, as long as it's clear what you're talking about and/or you provide a link to your problem -- then you can consider reposting, and just qualify it with a "I posted a few days ago, but perhaps I wasn't clear enough, so please allow me to rephrase my issue ...." ... that kinda thing. At least that's what I'd do. Good luck. rayge Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 I didnt really think about how to rephrase the Q i will try and do that next time. Thanks for the Advice
rayge Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 That contrib was related to ordering the attributes select box. Not the product listings themselves. But Im about halfway done with writing it myself. simply adding a sortorder field to the products table ad modifying the query in the index page for the default sort order. Then Adding a sortorder field in the categories page for products. THat should be the easiest fix. although up down clickable arrows (like mambo uses) for sortorder would be better Im not sure how id handle that.
