problems with configuration

my categories box which list three categories: hardware, software, and dvds each of these categories have listed several products in them however when I attempt to click on them to access the products it doesnt link to them to until I go to admin and then it shows the subcategories is their a link I need to go to? or what do I need to edit to change this? my site is www.jupiterinc.net\catalog

Hi, as a quick thought. Did you make sure that "Use Search Engine Safe URLs" is set to false on the main configuration page? This does not work properly and could explain the problem you are having.

at first glance it looks like a session ID problem... but it's getting a little late here.... try checking that out or it might point someone else to assist :)

I turned it off and still having problems thanks for the advice how do I check session ids or configure them?
