seCret steVe
For some reason since the new board has been up i come here very often. Alot...actually i live here. But ill click on the link and it will say page can not be displayed or i will go to the main link and click on the link in the community section and it will direct me to the main page of oscommerce. does anyone know of why this happens? hobbzilla
I spoke with Harald about this problem earlier. He attributed it to the DNS resolving for www.oscommerce.com/forums. My proxy cached the dns for a while as a CNAME link back to oscommerce.com (I believe). Anyway it has been changed to an A record with a specific IP address.. Give it a couple of days to propagate. In the meantime see if going to http:// 216.92.183.243/ doesn't solve the problems!
hobbzilla
why didn't http:// 216.92.183.243/ work? ??? Try http:// 216.92.183.243/

Harald Ponce de Leon
Because you have a space in the url :) I guess this is some sort of protection from BBCode so that people do not link entire paragraphs :) , osCommerce
seCret steVe
well thanks....just wonder what was going on
hobbzilla
As Harald pointed out (allbeit perhaps only implied)... I am a moron. BTW: if any people use a caching proxy (like I do) you should flush your DNS zone entries for oscommerce records. Otherwise it could be even longer to access! Devtech
I have had no problems viewing the web site. I have no proxy, and have had no problems viewing on masq addresses as well as live ip. I hope this helps you narrow down the fault. I do find that Netscape has problems dealing with some of the phpBB code :? (i like netscape)
