megacoool Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 I'm currently installing osCommerce on my media temple account at the moment and I've reached the 2nd page of installation. This is the page that known as "Database Import" where I need to enter my database server information. Now I created a database using phpAdmin on my Media Temple control panel. I named this database "store" .. The osCommerce page asks me to enter my database server, username, password, database name, persistent connections, and session storate. Now for the first field, which is database server, it states that this is a hostname or an ip address of the database server. What do I actually enter in this field? I've tried putting many options such as "store", "domainname_com_-_store" and all the many media temple variations but none have succedded.. help please..
natewlew Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 That all depends on how your hosting company has set it up. They should tell you somewhere in there help files. You could try localhost but that is just a guess. Google Search!
