Better Layout for Product Listing and Category Tree

Hi there,

 

There's got to be a way :blush: to display the products side-by-side, instead of the default horizontal display (one product per line). Could you please let me know how I can do this?

 

Also, I was wondering if it's possible, on the categories box, to display only the current category (with its subcategories). For example, once the user selects the "shoes" page, he/she will only see the Shoes subcategories.
