When I add an item to cart and proceed to checkout...the next page that comes up is a 404 Not Found page. How can i correct this problem?

and then when i click checkout...then i get that page. the site still needs some work...but want to get this checkout process working. thanks

Your configure.php file needs fixing. You also need SSL installed for the secure areas of your site. Read this:
