State pull-down list - error - new account

Hi,

 

I've seen several posts on this issue in the archives, but they all seem to be several years old. Is anyone else still seeing this problem?

 

1. Create a new account

2. In the State box, type in the two-letter abbreviation

3. Error message returns - must select from pull-down menu (which wasn't there for step 2)

4. Select from pull-down, all is well.

 

Works without an error message if you type in the entire state name in step 2. But who's going to think to do this? Most people would enter the two-letter abbreviation, I think.

 

Is there a work-around/fix for this?

 

Minimum value for state is set to "2" in the admin panel.
