template size - can it be changed?

Hi- Im new here and learning OSCommerce is very new to me. I dont have any programming or IT background, so please, bear with me! :P

 

I would like to make the size of my template to stretch the length of the screen.Or at least wider than it currently is. Is this possible? How do I do this?

 

I have a lot of questions, but this is my first issue I want to tackle. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
