How Important?

Ok i see that there is alot of talk about Ultimate SEO's Header tags All products etc. How important are these?

I mean after instalation what kinda results should i see?

How many visitors should they generate?

 

Just wondering ad there seems alot to do and i have no idea about php.

They can be very important to a sites success. However, as far as Header Tags and your home page is concerned, if the proper keywords are not chosen, then it won't do you much good at all. You have to tell the search engines what keywords you want to target. Ultimate SEO will rewrite the url's so that should help regardless of your keywords. All Products with Images (not the other All lProducts) will provide links for the SE's that they may not otherwise find, at least not quickly.

 

In general, the only way a site can be successful is if it gets a lot of traffic. The process of increasing that traffic is with SEO. The basic oscommerce shop doesn't have any type of SEO code at all so the chances of your site doing well without making such changes is very small.
