Trouble Changing Link Colors on Left Column

Recommended Posts

I have searched the forum and found a couple of solutions for changing the link colors for the left column, but they are not working for me. Perhaps it's because I've already modified the files some. Can someone please help?

Here is the link to the site I am working on: http://70.103.16.169/~kickerfi/shop/#

I have already modified the catalog/includes/boxes/categories.php so it would list the Categories and Products like it does on the site now. I have also played around alot with the Stylesheet and nothing works!

I need the links in the left column to be black without affecting the link color on the rest of the site.

Here is the catalog/includes/boxes/categories.php code:

<?php

/*

It is in your style sheet

A {

color: #990000;

text-decoration: none;

}

A:hover {

color: #FFCC00;

text-decoration: underline;

}

I tried that, but it changes the colors for links on the entire site. I only need the left column links to change. Thanks!

You need to create a new class and add that class to the code in boxes/categories.php where the <a href part is added. Change it to <a class="newclass" href.
