Admin shows blank page (included error log)

Hi everyone!

 

I have installed the oscommerce site on my webserver. I can view the site no problem, but when i go to the admin area all that's there is a blank screen. I checked the error log and I receive this error everytime I load the page:

 

[Fri Oct 20 15:42:04 2006] [error] [client 192.168.0.5] PHP Fatal error: Cannot re-assign $this in /var/www/development/docs/shop/admin/includes/classes/upload.php on line 31

 

I don't know how to fix this problem. Can someone assist me?

You need to update to the latest release to fix that problem and also some security issues.

I also have this problem. I downloaded the update on my computer, and I don't know what the next step is. Where and how should the file be uploaded? As the zip file or something else? I appreciate everyone's help.
