See whos_online on home page

I have my catalog in a sub-directory like this:

mysite.com/catalog

In the whos-online page of the admin it only shows people in the catalog directory or deeper.

Im wondering if theres a way of having whos-online check the root index page as well without moving my catalog on the root directory.

Any idea?
