e-mail setting can not be change or else they disappear

In the site administration console under CONFIGURATION/E-MAIL OPTIONS if I try to change the E-mail Transport method (i.e. from Sendmail to SMTP) or the Send E-mails option (i.e. from True to False), when I update the setting NEITHER option ends up being enabled. The setting appears with a blank space where the option should be. Trying to reconfigure the option after this is impossible since no changes take hold.

 

This isn't a critical operational problem right now but if I ever have to make a change here I could lose my e-mail abilities.

 

Any ideas what's wrong?

It seems that this problem has affected ALL of my settings. If I change ANYTHING my ability to change is gone. I just changed the SUBURB option from True to False and not only does False not appear as the selection but I am unable to change it back to True.

 

At this point I am reluctant to make any further changes for fear that I may really screw something up.

I've discovered that the contribution that automatically redirects you to the HTTPS (SSL) admin console was the culprit. I would advise against using this mod.
