When I add a new product through the admin panel, It places the image here: httpdocs/catalog/images

Works great. But when I go to a secure area of the site, it is looking for the image here: httpsdocs/catalog/images. I can manually upload the image to the httpsdocs/catalog/images directory but would like to know a workaround. My partner will be uploading new products and does not have the knowledge to do this. Any help?

Hi,

what you have is a setup with a separate folder for SSL files. As oscommerce will call any file from both folders depending on SSL setting, this is a less then ideal setup. Are you married to your host? Ask them to set up a symlink for you so files have not got to be copied to both folders - they are identical anyway, whywould you use double space. I see this very rarely now so yeah you could threaten to leave - and should - if they do not do it for you. I'm sure you will add many changes to your site along the way and having to update 2 filesets makes you very vulnerable for mistakes.
