How to remove image on index page in order to get right column higher?

I hope someone wants to help me with this as I can't find the answer to my problem.

 

I have an image on my index page page (it says enjoy shopping) and I want to remove that image so that my right column comes higher. How do I do this?

Hi there,

 

Thanks very much for your help, only this is not a solution for my problem as the right column doesn't move upwards when I do this. I mainly want to get rid of the image because of the right column that's too low.
