does not exist: /tmp (I'm getting this error)

I just installed this software again but i'm getting this error

 

Warning: The sessions directory does not exist: /tmp. Sessions will not work until this directory is created.

 

I've created folders witht he name tmp but it still hasn't worked

 

Anyone got any ideas?

in your includes/configure.php file do you have the following:

 

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql');

 

If you havnt, this may help to by-pass the session error. Athough im no expert with oscommerce.
