I just really need this site to start turning some real ROI's , and I am in the process of adding more inventory right now as I know it needs more.

The banner on the top of your site is out of place. In addition in your header to the right there is white space. It looks like the content portion of your site is wider then your header. All the icons under your header especially the open 24 hours sign should be removed. I am also getting an error on your page in IE (line 118 object expected). Your comuters direct USA logo links to http://computersdirectusa.com/images/index.php, should be http://computersdirectusa.com/index.php Other then that I like your color scheme.

I could remove the OPEN 24hours , But I am Proud of My Country's Flag, and I do appreciate your opinion !!

And I can't find the...( am also getting an error on your page in IE (line 118 object expected)...on the page anywhere and I've loaded it from (3) different computers with IE, so I don't know about that one. I would appreciate a little more in-depth reason on the icons..Do the look bad ? is it not a good idea for the placement ?

I don't think he is objecting to having the USA flag, but the quality of the image. All of the images above you menu just seem to be pixelated or not sized properly. I know that it is a brand new site, but maybe you could "beef up" some features by having a larger selection and price comparison or feature comparison too.

 

PS - I tried switching laguages and came up with a whole bunch of error messages. I would just ditch the Euro option and foreign languages unless you intend to sell mostly overseas.

Thanks David, I agree and I didn't think he was down on the flag. Actually my site is about 8 months old now and I really need to get it together. I have removed all of the icons now and re-aligned my header and moved the tigerdirect banner to the bottom of the site for now since they are direct competition for me, but if I can make a little profit from them that would be great. The only reason I have any of the banners and badges is maily for the linkbacks from them. I have been submitting my sight to all the directorys I can find right now (and avoiding the link farms and such) just trying to get a decient PR. I did have a 4/10 PR on google and lost it down to a 2/10 on the last PR update. Google is getting ready to do another update soon and I would like to get atleast my 4/10 back but need more I think. I really do appreciate all the feedback and am taking the advice and removing alot of stuff right now. And yes I will be adding more inventory throughout the next week, as I think that would help a whole lot.

Thanks for the replie Moloz, But theirs nothing wrong with my style sheet, I just put too many words in the product description and it stretchs the form to fit it all in. If I remove a couple words it would be even. And as for the products that have a shorter display box, thats just the way my templete works when I have smaller Pics displayed. It does grab your attention and I think that is a good thing. Other than that what do you think about the whole site in general ?

I like the color scheme of the site.

 

Here are a few quick suggestions that came to mind when I saw the site. 1) change the text on your ?buy? button to ?add to cart? (this statistically raises conversion rates). 2) On the detailed item descriptions, place the ?buy? button so that its near the product image and where the price is stated ? right now on some of the products you have to scroll far down to see the ?buy? button. 3) make the picture of the laptops on your header in higher resolution and sharper. 4)On my computer (which is in 1024X768 resolution), some of the product detail pages will not fit on my screen and I have to use the scroll bar to move the website to the right so I can see everything. 5) put your phone number on the top left of your site below the logo 6) at the top of the checkout screen, put a graphic and text saying that ?this is a secure transaction?. Alternatively you can put this text near the ?continue? button (this way customers will be reassured that you their credit information is secure before proceeding) 7) on the checkout screen and view cart screen put in text saying ?rather order by phone? Call (812) 873-1117 8) In the checkout, move your privacy policy to the top of the site? or, underneath the email form, put in ?we value your privacy?.
