Cannot add new products???

HI, I have recently installed OSC and i am trying to add a new product to my catalog. however wne i try to add one or edit the sample data, all it says is, preview and cancel. no save??!? As far as i am aware i have set all the file permissions as per the installation guide but i cant think of anything else that might affect it?

hit preview and it will take you to a new page to preview the product then you have a button to save
