osCommerce as stayfriends database

Hi,

 

do you think it's possible to use osCommerce as a database for friends. I think this kind of database is very similar to an online shop with products. You just put a photo of a friend instead of a product photo and use the description fields not for describing price and quality but hair color and contact information.

 

The only problem I mention is that I don't want to administrate the database for each friend as I would do it as an online shop owner. I want them to write their own data into the database. Here is the big difference to a shop. Because in an online shop the user can not change the product information. But I my case I specially need this function to have less work.

 

Now I need your experience - is osCommerce the correct software to realise this little project "stayfriends database".
