Can I do this? Send email Gift Certificates

I have a small boutique (store) with a web site. I want people to be able to send gift certificates to other people via email.

 

This is how it would work :

1. Customer chooses a gift certificate, adds a personalised message and email of the person receiving the gift.
   
2. Customer pays, enters their contact info.
   
3. Customer receives a confirmation email, AND Gift Certificate Receiver receives a HTML email (which is their virtual gift certificate).
   
4. We (store) receive a confirmation email.
   

Does "Gift Certificate Module" allow me to do all of this?

 

Any help would be much appreciated!

THe customer buys GC credit say $100 an then is able to send to whomever or use themself as credit.

Hey,

 

It pretty much works as you've described.

 

Customer purchases Gift Certificate.

You're notified.

Gift Certificate goes into a queue (in admin area) until you confirm and release it (allowing you time to verify payment).

Customer then (after you've released it) sends it via eMail to whomever he/she wants to.
