Jan0815 Posted September 9, 2002 Posted September 9, 2002 <shameless plug> I also like this one: http://winmerge.sourceforge.net/ It is free (GPL), it generates diff-files and it is free (did I mention that?) ;-) </shameless plug> You can't have everything. Guest Posted September 9, 2002 Posted September 9, 2002 I also use winmerge. In the spirit of opensource - it is free!!
seCret steVe Posted September 9, 2002 Author Posted September 9, 2002 although i wish it was for free....i like the layout alot and it is extremely the most easiest program....but me needs a key for it so that it dont run out of days.....lol
Jan0815 Posted September 9, 2002 Posted September 9, 2002 although i wish it was for free Hrmpf. On the one hand you say "Go get it" but when it comes to actually pay for it you start complaining ... WinMerge IS free, it is GPLed. And if you love BeyondCompare - it is not that expensive. There's always an alternative. If you don't like WinMerge - make it better! You get the sources ... CC Posted September 9, 2002 Posted September 9, 2002 I use Beyond compare, but will have a crack with Winmerge. But I have heard about Diff's alot but never actually applied them. Can anyone offer a brief description as to what advantage these provide? Thanks CC.
