pcbored Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Please don't laugh too hard, I am just a lowly user. My host helped to get me installed now I'm trying to get back in to set things up. The instructions say "after you log in...." but I can't seem to find out how to log in  Can someone please tell me how to log in? Thanks in advance
Guest Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 If I understand your question correctly, then the answer is "My Account". :)

pcbored Posted October 13, 2006 Author Posted October 13, 2006 looks like you haven't installed it (correctly) then... that's the home page of the catalog.might be an idea to ask your host :-" OK, thanks anyway, I guess it's back to the drawing board. I sure hope this thing is worth all the work when it's done.
pluviosilla Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I thought this thread would answer my question, because I'm stuck in the exact same place as pcbored. WHAT THE HECK IS THE ADMIN USERNAME AND PASSWORD if it is not the MySQL admin name and password that we specified during installation??????? Installation worked fine. The database was created and the schema built. I can see the home page of the storefront (the one with the "MyAccount" menu option), no problem. But I can't login as an admin user. Again, I ASSUME the admin username & password are the values we entered during installation, i.e. those specified in includes/config.php: define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', 'myadminusername'); define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', 'myadminpassword'); QUESTION: Is this assumption correct? Puzzled, - John Strong ([email protected])
pluviosilla Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Ha! As often happens, I find the solution immediately after whinging for help. :-) But!! I'm glad I made the post, because now I'm going to post the answer for the next poor soul who is in danger of wasting a half hour on this problem: ANSWER: After installation, the proper way to access the admin screens is to type in the absolute path of the admin directory. For example: www.yourserver.com/catalog/admin Then you'll get a nice screen with options like Configuration, Modules, Customers, Catalogs, etc. - John Strong ([email protected])
