How do I disable also purchased products?

My site is slow randomly, I've scoured the forums to see what it could be, and also purchased products is flagged as a potential cause.

 

Does anyone know how I can disable it please?

I don't think that I actually disabled the function, but only prevented it from displaying on-screen. In the Administration Panel, I went to Configuration/Maximum Values and change the Also Purchased value to 0.
