Sales have been good until recently, when they've suddenyl dried up. It seems occasionally slow to me...any feedback etc would be very much appreciated!

Nice Site, but its too complicated! People don't read websites, they simply browse. You need to get your message across quickly. Have more pictures but try not to slow down the load time. Your site logo is very hard to read.

Also, try simplifying it by maybe advertising a 3 step sales approach

1 pick (or create) your gift box

2 tell us where to send it

3 Make someone happy.

I hope this helps.

I think you have a wonderful products! I agree with the last comment about having a lot of text. I do think there is a lot of text on the homepage and in your products section. Maybe you can cut down the text and add more pictures. As a person who would actually buy something from your store, I would like to see a bigger picture first off and less text. You have so many items in the baskets that I would love to see from the beginning instead of having to enlarge it . When I do enlarge it, the bottom of the picture gets cut off and there is no scroll bar to see the rest of the picture.

Other than that, I think you have a great idea. Good luck with the store!

well, this does not help:

We currently only ship to the UK, but can receive orders from anywhere in the world.

Thanks - good feeback, like the 3 step plan, will integrate! Was the site slow for you at all?

Yes good point, something we're planning to offer soon, but our volume equates to high P&P pricing at the moment.

Thanks for the feedback! Bigger images/more pics I'd love but am nervous of slowing site down too much!

Link seems to be down, I will come back later to see if it up.

It shouldn't be (!!) - if it is or if anyone else had this prob could they let me know pls?

Links worked okay for me. I'm glad you like the 3 step idea. Maybe in the future, you could even offer custom made gift boxes where a person could pick the box, wrapping, items, and message included. Good luck with everything.

PS - Where do you get your supplies for making the giftboxes? Just curious.

Thanx,

when I think of gifts I think of happy.

The greyish-blue or blueish-grey colors you use as box backgrounds do not make me feel happy.

Use a little more happy colors I would say and keep text-backgrounds light.

Next to that it does not go well with your link rollover colors on some.

Your welcome image is too big and basically unnecessary as is this big image "as featured in..."

which takes up 80% of your right column. I would get rid of the welcome image and put the "as featured.." in its place but without the use ribbon part.

ok - have had a revamp on the homepage in light of all your comments (particularly dkubik!! - hope you don't mind!).

Let me know what you make of it!

No probs - do you mean the contents of the gift boxes or the boxes/packaging themselves?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the feedback so far - I'd really appreciate any more because sales are so low compared with last month and I can't understand why.

I've looked into bandwidth etc, and you'll have to bear with me as I have no coding experience etc at all - someone else designed the site etc for me.

The bots are using half of the total used each day (we're at about 9gig per month), and googlebot, inktomi, shopwiki and msn have been on the site almost constantly since the beginning of the month. They've only ever been off the site for about 20 minutes at a time.

I've stopped them looking at pop-ups etc, but it just seems such a coincidence that since the bots have been on the site so constantly sales have fallen. Customers just don't seem to be viewing products in the same way as previously, they're just viewing a couple and then going - I would REALLY appreciate any ideas/thoughts etc as I'm desperate now!

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

I do not use the responsive bootstrap version since i coded my responsive version earlier, but i have bought every 28d of code package to support burts effort and keep this forum alive (albeit more like on life support).

So if you are still here ? What are you waiting for ?!

Only took a quick look at your site, but your meta tag description is way longer than your keywords - and is certainly going to get you marked down with Search Engines. Keep it to 60-70 characters (letters and spaces).

Also install Ultimate SEO URL's - if your site is on an Apache server with Mod Rewrite enabled.

That's interesting - i hired an seo company to work on bits of the site, and they changed the meta tag descrs to the very long ones - originally was much shorter.
