JemCraft Posted October 12, 2006 Author Posted October 12, 2006 Yeah I did a search and found that through one of those free ip check websites. Why is it occuring though?
wizardsandwars Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Why would you think you're being hacked? It on the web. That means that you'll be visited by thousands of automated programs, spiders, harvestors, and crawlers. Just becuase they visit doesn't mean they are malicious. Most are indexing, or looking for hardcoded email addresses. Some are looking for simple forms they can use to their advantage. If you are interested in who's trying to hack you, you should be looking in your error logs. I guarantee you'll find a couple of script kiddie attempts to find vulnerable file in your error logs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.

boxtel Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Thanks amanda - you've put my mind at rest... "hackers should be the least of your problems" Thanks Peter - you haven't! Lol!!! What can I say, these online shops love you, we love you, life for you is a joyride. PS. don't spend too much time worrying who is accessing your store and why and how. It will drive you crazy in the end for no reason. Some people will come in with the most absurd request, let them, as long as they cannot alter any of your sources you should be fine. Treasurer MFC
