Guest Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Hi! I'm now at my second osc shop... Though I had some experience with the first one... i still have some difficulties, but I'll solve them all! So, HERE is my new site, tell me what you think! I know it's not ready 100% yet, but almost, need two mods installed and products and that's it. Oh, and I have to modify the header, I understand I'm loosing sessions - although I'm not very sure what that means, but I'll put tep.... links. The first shop is not very nice as design, but I have many many orders and success, people begin to know about it - so that's what I'm counting on for this one, too. :D
Rachael w. Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 POPUPS! My blocker kicked it. You have images that arent loading. Why do you have the OSC header in your own header? Did you use a template? It looks nice but I didnt go past your homepage because of the popups.
Guest Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Hi! Well, the popups are gone ...almost. I was trying a pop up ad and it was work in progress. I'll desable it for now and when I'll really need it , it will appear just once on main page. The missing images are now in place and the osc banner is replaced (I'm still working on some things as Shipping, Conditions, Privacy - should be ready in a couple of days) No, it's not a template- though I was inspired by a certain header. I made my own header in Photoshop, cut it and replaced with images and links for what I needed. The only thing copied from that template is the upper part of the header with the little menu on the right - up. And the rest...Infobox skins... Individual boxes... and other 50 contributions.
Guest Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 It's been a while, but not so long... :) Well, my second store - Kiddy is in action for almost a month and I already had significant sales, so I must be doing something good, though I'm not yet pleased with the number of visitors per day... Any way, it seems to go up! Any other advice would be welcome! Always an idea from an "outsider" helps. So, thanks again!
chooch Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 pop-ups were blocked as i entered the site. well, it is definately 'different' and very colourful but, there is too much info on the home page. the footer is loaded with too much info and the header left location is not on par with the column left at all... check the alignment of the site. good luck Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH

All of that footer stuff will be soon gone, but for now I need it to get visitors - I've subscribed to those sites and I had to put a backlink, but in a few weeks they are al gone, because I'll get where I need. As for the alignement... that's a problem, becase I have absolutely no clue how to fix it. Maybe some one could give me a hint? The pop up will be there for december, I need to get visitors for another site, a Christmas one and I need to do that fast - it's new and Christmas is coming I know it still needs a lot of work, but I'll do it and mnany things will be fixed thanks to you guys! I don't have the words to describe how thankful I am for this osc community! I've learned sio much in the past year! And I have so much to learn!
