Guest Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 My website has been working exactly as planned for as long as I can remember using Oscommerce. This morning I check my site and it was 100% blank. I logged into the FTP to see if the files were there and they were. Nothing has changed (files-wise) from last night to this morning yet my site isn't there. I contacted my host and they said "update oscommerce". I don't know why this would have anything to do with not being able to display from one day to the next so I would like some input on this matter. Is this something that would indeed have an effect on whether or not my site is displayed?

dynamoeffects Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 First, I'm guessing that the error level in PHP is set to hide all error messages. Second, I'm willing to bet that your host upgraded MySQL or PHP and didn't tell you. Ask them if they've done any software upgrades lately. Please use the forums for support! I am happy to help you here, but I am unable to offer free technical support over instant messenger or e-mail.
Guest Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 can you see anything at all?any error messages etc? or is it a white screen? Even when I access ADMIN then it won't let me through, completely white screen. When I check source, it is BLANK. No error messages and PHP debugging/errors is set to on.
Guest Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 The ding dongs at my host were having problems and decided to move my account to another server once I spoke up. I guess i'm up and going now, thanks!
boltz Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I am experiencing the same thing sorta. My host changed servers. main site wouldnt load cuz of a php register globals error, i submitted a ticked and got that taken care of even tho i think i could have fixed that myself. But now my admin page loads up BLANK (white) view source and all i come up with is <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD> <BODY></BODY></HTML> PHP is working if i replace index.php with a file containing <?phpinfo()?> It loads up that. There is nothing wrong with the file paths in config.. especially since my main catalog works. I am wondering if there is a file problem or a server config issue.
boltz Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Does this have anything to do with new versions of PHP/mysql & OSC2.2ms2
