Guest Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 In recent weeks I have been contacted by a handful of customers that are having problems loging into my store. They will enter their username and password just to be asked for it again repeatedly every time they click on an action and therefore being unable to check out. Not everybody is having this problem so I though that they just needed to enable cookies but they're still having the same problem after enabling cookies. I have tested my test account on several computers and browsers and it works fine, some of my other customers report no problems yet I still don't know how to help those that are constantly being asked for their login info. :'( I appreciate any suggestions on what I could do. Thanks!

Thanks! Does anyone have suggestions for this? This primarily happens from corporate accounts, this actually happens from my corporate server so I can see the issue as well and it completely prevents anyone from browsing my shop from behind a corp. network. I have checked and cookies are enabled on my machine as well. any advice would be appreciated; I am getting feedback from a handful of customers who can not browse my site. Thanks
mmph Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Okay, I just figured out my issue, maybe this will help others too. From behind a corporate server, I found the last digits of an IP address can change on each page request! In the admin panel, check the setting: CONFIGURATION-->SETTINGS-->CHECK IP ADDRESS ......if this is set to true, and your customer is behind a corporate server which has a dynamic (changing) IP address it may cause your the customer to get stuck in a Login.php loop. I prefer to have this set to true because some people post links to your site with their session info in the URL; I assume that checking the IP in each request is a safety measure to prevent others from accidentally logging into someone else’s session. If anyone has a suggestion how to prevent the Login.php loop and retain the ...CHECK IP ADDRESS setting of true, please do speak up. Thanks!
Tram Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I am having a problem with the login-in too. Seems like the site won't remember my logins. Each time I log in and try to shop around, withing a few seconds later I will find myself log off again. I tried to set the Check Up as true like you have said, but it still wont work. Please help!
