xpfilms Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Hello everyone. Yesterday we ha a client that process an order and everything worked well. However, I soon noticed something strange. On the order email the ?delivery address? is a p.o box in Montana and the billing address is across the border in Canada. No problems so far. But when I reviewed the order on the admin panel, both the shipping and the billing address are the same and in Canada! I contacted the client and she explained that the Canada address is her real address but she added an additional address for shipping during checkout (which was transferred to the order email correctly), but it seems that this additional address was not passed to the order profile as the shipping address. I was able to replicate this problem with a test order. It seems that the information passed to the admin uses the billing address for both shipping and billing even if the client selected/added a different shipping address. This could be a problem for clients that do not return to the store, since we would not get the order email with the correct shipping address. Could someone look at this? Thanks! NLD Quote
xpfilms Posted October 10, 2006 Author Posted October 10, 2006 Update: I just reviewed the database and the associated tables. The client has 2 addresses in the address book. One in the US and one in Canada. On the order it has the canada address as both billing and delivery. So it seems that during checkout the system: 1. Added correctly two addresses to the client's book 2. sent the correct delivery address to the order email 3. entered the billing address incorrectly into the delivery item of the order table on the database. If any one is able to replicate this and have a solution, please let me know. Thanks, NLLD. Quote
