Adding mail links to shipment and returns page

Just trying to get my Shipment and Returns page up and running and I need a way to add a mail for people to be able to click on the e-mail for exchanges or refunds etc. Usualy you would use a mailto: in the code in html. I thought the new code would look like this:

 

{mailto address="[email protected]"}

<a href="mailto:[email protected]" >[email protected]</a>

 

Is this wrong? I cannot get the code to work and it shows the code. Anyone please help.
