Removing and adding fields on create_account.php

I would like to remove the fields "country" and "state" on the create_account.php page and also add a field "mobile phone number"

 

Could someone walk me through how to do this?

You can remove the State by the admin->configuration->customer details settings in admin. You can delete countries from admin->Locations/Taxes->Countries. Although I think at least one is required. There is a contribution that takes you through adding a new field. I think it is call add second address, or something similar. If you search the contributions section, you should be able to find it.

Thanks for your help, it seems like a long process to add fields unfortunately eh! Ah well, I'll see how I go.

It is a long process but the contribuiton works so just take your time and do backups first.
