Automated Products Update

Hello,

I'm trying to design a website with over 8000 products. My problem is that I need the products to be updated daily from the spreadsheet file that I get from my vendor.

I am already familiar with Easy Populate but there are two problems with that:

1- It should be done manually and needs to change some fields to be used by Easy populate.

2- It does not upload images (not images url, but the actual image files) from the vendor site.

 

My question is, is there any way (or any contrinution) that ables us to connect our osCommerce products to a .txt file located on another server and then update the products daily (for example with a CRON job), in addition it should also be able to get the images from the vendors site and upload it to my site.

 

Any suggestion or help will be appreciated.

Also, if anyone can do this for me, I'm ready to pay for his time, but please let me know how much will you charge for that.

Why not ?

 

You can modify easy populate scripts to work with your own table format, it's obvious, but you need to have php knowledge to do this, if u don't, look for a php coder, there's alot of sites where you can grab someone online to do it for a good price. I use this type of service alot.

 

but a ready one doesn't exist, you need to do your own to fit your needs.
