amigaman Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Hi all, I am trying to restore my backed-up database via the admin panel. When I do I receive the following error: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 38525485 bytes) in /var/www/html/admin/backup.php on line 189 Any ideas why this could be? I can backup the current db without problems I just can't restore the previous one. Thanks.

amigaman Posted October 9, 2006 Author Posted October 9, 2006 Try using something like phpmyadmin to restore your database. I have it but I don't know who to restore a database with it. Is there no way I can extend in the amount of allocated memory in the file that causes the rror?
amigaman Posted October 9, 2006 Author Posted October 9, 2006 I can't be the only one with this problem. How can I restore a large database?
amigaman Posted October 10, 2006 Author Posted October 10, 2006 Nevermind; I broke the db down into smaller files and used phpadmin to add them. It took a long time.
