PCGUY Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 I have had a few orders in my store where the order never comes up in OsCommerse, but it comes up as a payment in paypal. I am then left trying to figure out what they bought. After some invesigating, it seems that after you make a Paypal payment, if you do not click "Return to merchant", osCommerse never sees it as a payment. Is there any way to fix this? It seems that about a quarter of my orders are ending up like this. The same may happen for money orders and such too, however I have not tested it. Thanks. Quote
jazzychad Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 You're right, it will not add the order in osC unless they have gone to the "checkout_process.php" page. In paypal you can accomplish this by setting that page to be the return page, but it relies on people clicking "return to merchant" which is almost an invisible link on the paypal site :( There must be a better way to do this.. perhaps open the paypal site in a new window and send the original window to "checkout_process.php" at the same time? That way it would add the order in osC, but then you'd have to make sure they actually placed the order by looking for the PayPal confirmation as well... This is definitely something that needs a better solution than relying on customers to click that one critical link. Just a thought... Quote
GemRock Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 This is a well known issue. Install one of the held order contribs would get you around the issue.
