Hi Dear all:

My site sliceofchina has been up and running for over half a year. I haven?t got many sales. I have tried SEO, GoogleSiteMap and Head tag contributions. I also set up Google adwords as well. I?m not sure what else I could do to improve my site so that I could get more traffic and more sales. Would you please shed some light on when you get a chance?

Hi,

You may be better placed putting this on the My Store topics, as you'll get a lot more people to look at it.

But here is my opinion anyway.

1. No physical address on "contact us" or "about us" page

2. You appear to have a shared SSL (in the name of your hosting co.?) which will throw up an error message on entering the secure pages (ie checkout), as the name of the site is different to the name on the certificate. As a result this could scare a lot of people into not buying as an error message saying not secure is never good!

3. Meta descriptions and titles need work

4. get listed on dmoz to help with SEO

5. the photos on the homepage are quite small and dont show ant of the detail i would expect. Try boosting the size to show the items more clearly.

Thats about it on first look, but i'm sure lots of people will other other suggestions.

good luck!

I agree with all the points of the previous post. ALso you might want to get more links to your site.

Putting your site address in your signature on forums *** That is against forum rules here*** that you particpate in. Seek out other quality link partners and exchange links with them.

Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Backup before making changes!!

You did do a backup? eh?

I have a simple answer for you.

Place a buy now product on the front page that tells your customers exactly what your store is about while trapping their impulse to buy reaction.

I went to look at your bamboo paintings and more than half are sold out. That's a real turn-off. If they are sold out, don't show them until they're back in stock.

Good luck,

Adrienne
