XCCreations Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Alright we all know the bar belowe the header that carrys to throught the site tells you what page your on has the Cart Contents link al that how would i go about adding a link to another website on there?
jpweber Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 The links on the left hand side of the header navigational bar that tell you where you are, are called "breadcrumbs". You may have links on the right called "my account", "checkout", and "cart contents", or whatever. If you want to add another one, I am not sure if it will hurt your session ID or not, but regardless, you would find this snippet of code in (path to catalog)/includes/header.php -- on a fresh install of OSC, it's around lines 61-66: <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="1"> <tr class="headerNavigation"> <td class="headerNavigation">??<?php echo $breadcrumb->trail(' ? '); ?></td> <td align="right" class="headerNavigation"><?php if (tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { ?><a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_LOGOFF, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_LOGOFF; ?></a> ?|? <?php } ?><a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_ACCOUNT, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_MY_ACCOUNT; ?></a> ?|? <a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_SHOPPING_CART); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CART_CONTENTS; ?></a> ?|? <a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CHECKOUT; ?></a> ??</td> </tr> </table> Change to: <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="1"> <tr class="headerNavigation"> <td class="headerNavigation">??<?php echo $breadcrumb->trail(' ? '); ?></td> <td align="right" class="headerNavigation"><?php if (tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { ?><a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_LOGOFF, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_LOGOFF; ?></a> ?|? <?php } ?><a href="www.youroutsidelink.com target="_blank" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_OUTSIDELINK; ?></a> ?|? <?php } ?><a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_ACCOUNT, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_MY_ACCOUNT; ?></a> ?|? <a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_SHOPPING_CART); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CART_CONTENTS; ?></a> ?|? <a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CHECKOUT; ?></a> ??</td> </tr> </table> Change the occurrences of "www.youroutsidelink.com" and "HEADER_TITLE_OUTSIDELINK" to whatever you want. I added the target=_blank in there so it opens a new window; maybe this will avoid messing with yoru session ID. You can take it out if you'd like. Then, go to your (path to catalog)/includes/languages/english.php, and define it, so it looks like this somewhere in the page: // header text in includes/header.php define('HEADER_TITLE_OUTSIDELINK, 'Misery Loves Company'); Upload includes/header.php and includes/languages/english.php to your server, and you should be all set. Again, not sure if this is the best way to go about things, but that should do the trick for now. jpweber Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 I left out a quotation mark there. Use this instead: <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="1"> <tr class="headerNavigation"> <td class="headerNavigation"> <?php echo $breadcrumb->trail(' ?
