OScommerce is amazing, but there is a lack of understanding in how to configure the interface of the website.... I downloaded the Index.php from server, and didn't know what to edit... anything about how to change the interface layout?

But as a starter, you could download a copy of the osC document (osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 Update 051112 Documentation) on the download page of this website, and read through it, you'd get some basic idea of how osC works and how to make some simple changes. And what is your ' server msg'?
