Brian-Bear Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 First of all create a business account with paypal then go to the profile tab in paypal and set as follows in web site payment preferences Auto return: On Payment Data Transfer: Off Block non encrypted website payment: Off Paypal Account Optional: Off (this is vital that it is set to Off) Contact phone number: Off The return Url needs to be http://www. or https://yourdomain.com/catalog (or whatever your directory is)/checkout_process.php. Note: I have read on the net it takes paypal up to 72 hours to setup your return Url so be patient ours worked within 24 hours. Setup your account details in the paypal oscommerce module hope it works for you Quote

I started to sign up for their Virtual Terminal but the online docs on PayPal suggest I have to enter the charges manually into their software. I emailed for support and never got any from [email protected]. But of course got some spam alerrt from [email protected]. Well, reminds me of a few years back when I tried to rent a condo and another time when I tried to sell something but they flagged it as fraud because I'd moved and changed my phone number - oh my! you cannot move and change your phone number! Goess the red flags are there and I'll search for another CC processor. Cheers, TimJowers Serviza Turnkey Business Platform - making open source work for business at http://www.serviza.com/ Quote
Brian-Bear Posted October 6, 2006 Author Posted October 6, 2006 Sure it accepts credit cards you either pay by a paypal account or if you have not got a paypal account you can pay with your card in the normal way Quote
Brian-Bear Posted October 7, 2006 Author Posted October 7, 2006 Sorry should have added, if it works for you let others know here. Quote
kvandermaarel Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 How did you get the costs to transfer from osC to Paypal. It always comes up as $0.00. I have a paypal account. Thanks Quote
ashley76 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 also with the credit card way, can you hold the numbers for an extended period of time? some of my pre-order items are months in advance and I don't want to charge the customer until it is ready to ship. Quote
