martinstan Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Hi I'm trying something pretty advanced for me I think but it's the way I learn. Stop me if you think I have no chance. I'm trying to set up OSC on a testing server on my local machine. I've downloaded and installed Wamp and I've managed to get as far as the OSC install page but immediately hit a brick wall when I come to the database import section of the install. I've read the pre-install tutorial but it just says create a DB using PHPMyAdmin but doesn't give any info regarding table structure etc.. Is this just way way advanced stuff or should I, with my limited but reasonably advanced knowledge, be able to do this? I've tried searching the forum for an hour but I'm afraid putting Database in the search field isn't getting me very far. I'd appreciate some feedback. Thanks Martin
robr Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 you do not need to worry about table structure as osCommerce configures this on install. Creatre an empty database and then put the db info in the oscommerce install script where asked for Robr
