Hi Guys

It seems that our store has gotten really slow and I would for you guys to check it out and tell me how slow or fast it loads. We have a 8MB connection at our offices and sometimes the site loads painfully slow.

It seems that all of the other graphics load(yes they are optimized), then the actual product images (the thumbnails) seem to take ages to actually load. We have a image thumbnail contrib installed - 'On the fly_GD Thumbs' I wonder is it installed correctly?

Any help would be great guys.

8MB Comcast and it is really slow here also.

I used the thumbnail/cache contrib and had to remove it because it slowed my site way down.

My Webpage

this is the way I set up my images (not all images are uploaded.......sorry about the "red Xs"

Hope this helps............

Hi

Should I remove the thumbnail contrib or do you think its setup wrong?

I would remove it.......

I doubt you set it up wrong or it wouldnt even work at all.

For the install did you have to make a folder for it to put your thumbs in ?

If so the contrib only "makes" the thumbs when they are "called" on

Once it has made it will load faster.....it was more headache for me than just running a batch with Fireworks to resize all my images (about 3000 of them)

Hi

Category links are php OSC code, its just the contrib we have installed makes them more search engine friendly etc. I think?
