Well I just opened up for business yesterday, and today I got my first order. But it is completely jacked up. I have no idea what the person ordered. This is what I'm seeing on my orders screen in Admin:

The Cinderella that was purchased is $19.99 + the 6.99 gloves should subtotal $26.98. Plus, the drop-down option for the size the person picked also did not showed up. Apparently she ordered more things that are not showing up. Also, the person lives in Washington, and it's charging Arizona tax. I had it set up in Admin to oly charge tax in my "Arizona" tax zone.

 

Please help! This is my very first order on my brand new store & I need to fix the problem!

I'm not sure I can help you specifically with your error but have you tried browsing your database tables directly? Perhaps the information you're looking for is at least in there.

 

If it's not though I'm not sure how you can recover the information for that order. I presume all test runs of your shop were successful?

Just browsed the database, and the missing info is not there. All I can see on my database table is the info I already was able to see on my order screen.

 

Unfortunately, I did not test orders of more than one item. I have been in such a hurry to get this store running since I'm selling a lot of costumes (Halloween season). My bad.

 

ANY HELP ANYONE CAN PROVIDE WOULD REALLY HELP ME!

You should have got an email notification of the order, showing exactly what was purchased.

 

Things to check for:

 

1: did they pay a LOT more than what it shows in your admin?

2: if they paid the correct amount that you see in admin, are they telling little white lies to try and get more goodies from you?

 

I can come and do a test order for you if you like?

Thank you Ashlyn. Your order came through fine that time. I think I fixed the problem for now. I sort of figured out the problem had something to do with the Option Types contribution I installed yesterday (with the checkboxes to add related products). Late lastnight I decided to restore a backup from a few days ago. It seems to be working fine now. But I still cannot recover any info from this original order. I noticed myself that $55 was WAY too much for the one item I could see they ordered. I have tried to contact the customer to find out what exactly they ordered. But I have not heard back from them.

 

I still need to find a way to add a way to "add" related products from the product info page.

 

And thanks for the compliment Ashlyn! I wish I was a kid again too! :)
