schwim Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Hi there everyone, I'm setting up a cart and the owner creates jewelry. One of the items she sells is a name bracelet, and she needs the name to be put on the bracelet when someone orders it. Is there a way to create an option that will allow the customer to input text? I've searched the contributions and forum, but I think that it's probably my inability to choose good search terms that is keeping me from finding anything. Thanks for any help you can provide. thanks, json
ComicWisdom Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 There are already 2 comment boxes. One on shipping page and one on billing page. If you need others there are these two contributions. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...stomer+comments http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...stomer+comments They don't sound exactly like what you want. If they are not, you'd have to add a textarea to your product_info.php and link it to a field in your orders table. Just between us, remember there are only 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't!! Remember, learning is a "do-it-yourself" experience; although, not necessarily a "do-it-BY-yourself" experience. The quickest way to learn is to forget to BACKUP!
djmonkey1 Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I think what you're looking for is this: Product Attributes- Option Type Feature Do, or do not. There is no try. Order Editor 5.0.6 "Ultra Violet" is now available! For support or to post comments, suggestions, etc, please visit the Order Editor support thread.
schwim Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 Thanks very much to the both of you. I have tried merging the attributes sorting and the option type contributions, and we'll see how well it worked :) thanks, json
