Admin, Orders not showing latest orders, no insert into orders_total table

Suddenly our osCommerce installation is not working properly. Something happened over the weekend (a backup?) that caused our site to lose some settings such that it was unable to find the modules directory. We added configuration lines for DIR_FS_CATALOG_MODULES in both catalog and admin and then the credit card module started working again. However, now when we place orders no records for the order are entered in orders_total. This is causing the admin/orders.php view not to show the latest orders even though they exist in the orders table. All the tables are correct except orders_total.

 

Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem and I can't figure out how to fix it. Good luck getting a reply, and if you do, please share it with me..

Well, for some reason a couple orders have worked now. I don't know why these orders worked and the others didn't. These orders did create a record in orders_total, but I haven't changed any code or done anything at all to make this work. This bothers me a bit that now it's working all of a sudden. We'll monitor this to see if we're "fixed" now or not.
