We have an OSC installation that has been running for several years, and recently, orders stopped writing to the database.

The Product, price, et al, will be written, but no customer info or address is written.

any idea?

has your host updated their mysql, or you could upgrade to ms2 if not heavily customised

Why would updating mysql cause this problem?

Pretty heavily customized, so an upgrade right now is not likely.

mysql5 has a strange join on the sql, ie sql syntax has changed although if that changed you would get an error

do you still have loads of orders in your database if so does host have limit on size database can be

This isn't the only instance of this happening

In my case, nothing has changed (and what I did change, I backtracked and put back the way it was.. even uploading unedited backups of changed files)

I've done several test orders with no luck. It writes to the database, shows everywhere except in the admin/orders.

Does anyone know which file/s I should be looking at first?

I used to be insane, but now I'm just nuts ;)

In our case, the orders are NOT being written to the orders table, just the credit card #, exp. date, and cvv.
