Hi,

I'm new to all this and need some help. I've always been able to load pictures as I add new products to my site. I recently added new products last week but when I just tried to load a image, I received the follwoing error: Catalog images directory is not writeable. Anyone know what I need to do to correct this?? Thanks all!

Thanks for the reply!!! I couldn't find where to change the permissions in the control panel. Here's the error on top of my admin page when I access catalog. Error Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable: /home/********/public_html/images/. Can you help walk me through. I'm new to all this and really appreciate it.

change the permissions on the directory to 777. You can [usually] do this via your ftp program or hosting control panel.

Although most people say set it to 777 I find 757 works for me :)

I use WS_FTP and I just right click on the file or folder, choose chmod and set the permissions. I have check boxes which will change the numbers.

755 has usually worked for me.

I used to be insane, but now I'm just nuts ;)
