I had an email from a German customer who couldnt select their zone / state because it was first in the drop down list and the website kept wanting them to choose.

Does anyone have any idea what can be done about this?

This has got to have happened to someone else - I've done a search of the threads trying all sorts of keywords about the situation and none of the results had any relevency.

Anyone have a solution? I realise bumping threads isn't allowed but it has been 9 days since I posted and people aren't even looking.

Does the select state que show in the drop down box before the customer interacts with it?

If it doesn't goto the zones table and add it as state zero, if it does try adding a blank as state 0.

I won't gaurantee this, but it should work.

Actually that is something I have noticed - the state drop down appears only after a customer writes in their state manually and tries to continue - is there a fix for that which would solve both issues?

I've had that issue myself and have found no cure for it. Maybe someone else has.

It seems the customer types something in the box and only after that it gives instructions to choose from the list. It does seem to work properly though if the customer tabs into the box rather than inserting the cursor with the mouse.

It doesn't seem to be hurting business at all though since the customer has to do it only once.
