Atributes Break Multiple Item Purchase

I've got the weirdest problem. I cannot get more than one item in my cart if the item has attributes. For example, I have a product with no attributes, and I can edit the cart to put 5 in no problem. However, if the item has any attribute at all, scent for example, if I try and change the number in the cart it bounces right back to 1 as soon as I hit update.

 

I am unable to go to the item itself and add it again with the same or different attribute - if there are attributes attached I can only buy 1, period.

 

Any thoughts?
