Shipping and Payment Modules not saving

Hello, I am new to osCommerce and have been setting up a site. I have managed to get everything else apart from the shipping module running.

 

For both Shipping Table Rate and Zone Rate methods I enter all the values, click UPDATE and nothing gets saved.

 

For PayPal I enter the email address and click update and it is not saved.

I hacked the address into the php file and it now works.

 

Clicking on EDIT later just comes up with the default values.

 

Testing in the store, and it just picks up on the default settings.

 

Question1:

Where are these values supposed to be saved???

a. In the database? - cannot see anything for shipping/paypal using phpmyAdmin

b. In a folder? - which one? what permissions?

c. in a file? as above

 

Question 2:

Anything else that I may have done wrong or should looks at?

i have some problem with you and i have done this for 4 month. i haven't found the answer.

That thread helped fix the problem.

Modified the /catalog/admin/modules.php file as Post #3 by brett.howard recommended and both payment and shipping modules now save the data.
