Hello,

Just looking for some advice. We launched our site about 3 months ago and to date we havent used any contributions yet.

I am intend to install the Ulitmate SEO's today, we have also used mysapce alot and it has brought in quite a few sales. But we are not just getting enough visitors, Just how important are these contributions? I know very little about this area of things and I would really appreciate any help or advice?

Has anyone used myspace?

thanks.

If someone could take a look and let me know what you think?

If people can't find you with a search, then your site is pretty much useless, generally speakinjg. So the SEO changes are very important. Ultimate SEO won't provide much help by itself though. Install the Header Tags contribution and set it up. Your products should start ranking well in a matter of weeks, providing the search engines are looking at your site.

The contribution uses a stock page layout so if your layout has been changed in any way, it probably won't look right. You will need to edit the dynamic_sitemap.php file (assuming that is the contribution you meant) to make it like the other files.

Header Tags is the most important of the changes. Then I would probably do Ultimate SEO next. After that, it doesn't really matter which order.

Me again :)

Ok it seems if i use any of these contributions they screw up my layout completly, so since i will have to edit alot of files to get everything back in shape what excatly do i have to edit in the files? and where? So When i go to install further contributions i will know what to fix straight away.

Thanks again,

You need to edit whatever files the contribution places in the root directory of your shop (where your index.php file is located). What changes you need to make will depend on your design so I can't answer that.

Ok thank you,

Just thought is there 1 particular file i could use for comparing the edited files against ( for finding the differences) so i would know what to edit to keep the layout in line?

Thanks,
