Moving a category folder rather than individaul images

Is there a way I can copy a whole folder in my catalogue to another category rather than use the "copy to for individual products within that category. (ie if I have t-shirts with a category of red and then there are 20 products in that category, can I move the whole "red" folder to socks rather than moving each product?)

Please explain more, your logic doesnt seem to make sense:

 

You have a category called 'T-Shirts' with a subcategory called 'Red', and you want to copy this 'Red' category to under the category 'Socks'?

 

But surely the 'T-Shirts' -> 'Red' category contains 'Red T-Shirts'?

 

So wont you end up having a 'Socks' -> 'Red' category full of red T-shirts? (Instead of red socks?)
